springing forward with a fresh face and big plans

My first year of high school is soon coming to an end and I can’t help but feel it has gone by way too fast!! My best friends and I just attended our first semi-formal and we are already talking about our grade 12 prom! It has really been an incredible year! I began using the Clean Start products at the same time I started high school and this blog! I remember being very skeptical that they wouldn’t be any better or make any real difference in my skin. I had tried lots of other products, which didn’t live up to what I expected. I want to let you know that I am a true believer in Clean Start products and now a lot of my friends are too! My skin has never looked or felt as good and people are always complimenting me. Be sure to read my blog (below) on my favorite products and try them! They truly do work and you will thank me later!

With spring comes the end of winter soccer and after a bumpy start my team, the Halifax Dunbrack Soccer U16T1 girls, grabbed the last spot in playoffs this past weekend! After some incredible soccer by all teams involved, we finished our season with GOLD!! Our team finally clicked back together and even if we hadn’t won, it was just wonderful to see how hard we worked as a team! This group of girls come together every second year as a team. To date we have two provincial titles, a trip to Nationals together and endless amounts of gold and silver tournament medals! We are hoping for our third chance this summer to have a shot at provincials and go on to Nationals in Alberta! We also stay involved in our community as a group and it has really bonded us as a team. Whatever happens, I am really looking forward to spending my summer with this amazing group of girls!! Our Gold Medal win!

Summer will soon be here and be filled with summer jobs, paddling, soccer, hanging with my friends and just enjoying the sun. I love summer here in NS!! With that being said, I know summer will also fly by!! With the new school year, I know that things will change – it is inevitable! But the one thing that I hope never changes in my life is my group of friends. Even though some of us may be divided by distance, I hope we will always stay connected. With the support we give each other, I have learned that we can do anything!!

As I have written before, my big plan this year was to try new sports and I have with wresting and now rugby! The season has now begun and I had my first tournament this past weekend! I was super nervous going into the first game but after a few minutes out there (and a few tackles) it just came naturally to me. I know now I am really going to enjoy this sport!! What has really helped is that we have a lot of amazing seniors on the team and they are really keen on helping us rookies get our footing. Our coach has told us that after a number of years of getting silver, he is hoping for gold this year – now that would be incredible for my first year on the team!
